Resumo: This research suggests extending the Advanced Qualification Programs (AQP) for operational indirectly related professionals. Thus, contributing to improve quality, safety, and security processes practiced daily in this industry. Aviation today has an AQP dedicated to professionals working directly on flight operations. This, over time, has proved to be an efficient strategy for reducing incidents and accidents. The program seeks improvement through constant updates of technological innovations available to the sector. However, the program mainly dedicated to pilots doesn’t apply to other operations back-office professionals. The training of these workers is primarily individualized with no standard processes of each airline. Thus, the AQP effectiveness is analyzed through case studies contrasting impacts on safety and security.
